My full success story with Dr. Goldberg's treatments can be viewed in the testimonial video above.  I began seeing Dr. Goldberg after a recommendation from my ballet instructor.  After receiving such good care I decided to keep up monthly maintenance visits.  There are many visits when I don’t really have any specific complaints, but when I leave I feel better, feel as though I stand taller and can breathe easier.  Dr. Goldberg treated me through two healthy pregnancies.  Any new complaint that arose he was able to address and I felt very well and strong through both pregnancies.  Dr. Goldberg treats me as a whole person.  He often inquires about current life stresses that can contribute to my well-being.  I keep up my visits because I just feel so good when I leave.  I am always recommending Dr. Goldberg to any friend or acquaintance asking about chiropractic treatment.

I am a 52 year old woman, and my biggest concern about recently moving to Savannah was finding a good chiropractor. With Dr. Steve Goldberg I found a great chiropractor.  After one visit with Dr. Goldberg, I had immediate relief from several chronic issues.

I have used chiropractic care since 1980 to maintain mobility and limit pain for both a TMJ jaw and a malformed hip.  In addition, over the last 10 years I had several other medical issues that no MD or specialist could solve for which my old chiropractor was able to minimize the discomfort.

I thought I was feeling pretty good when I walked into Dr. Goldberg's office.  However, his first comment to me was something like "I'm glad you came in as it looks like you need some help." After taking my medical history, he talked to me about the types of treatments he does (Cox Chiropractic traction, as well as, Atlas Orthogonal and Activator instrument adjusting).  He took the time to explain how his treatments work and then how they would apply to me.  At my first appointment, I had x-rays taken to analyze and determine if an Atlas adjustment on my first cervical vertebra was appropriate (it was) and I scheduled to come back for treatment.

There were two noticeable things about me before I went to Dr. Goldberg.  One is that I have a slight limp due to my hip issue and second was that my left shoulder was much lower than my right.  Neither of these conditions are new.  My first Atlas treatment on my neck was completely painless and had an immediate impact. My shoulders became almost instantly level.   Other changes that have occurred since the first Atlas adjustment include the pain in my shoulder is almost completely gone, my TMJ jaw adjusted itself and is no longer painful, my ear issue is improved (20% after no improvement in 3 years), the 'cobwebs' in my brain went away and I can think more clearly. I don't mix up my words when speaking like I used to,  my neck can turn side-to-side more easily, no more '3pm afternoon tired slump', no dizzy spells (a daily occurrence before) and my balance/co-ordination is significantly improved.  I hadn't realized I had so many issues nor that they could be alleviated! The only side effect from the atlas treatment was that for a few days I became very sleepy at about 8pm in the evening and I slept about 10 hours.  I think this tiredness was my body healing itself.

On my second visit Dr. Goldberg worked on my chronic hip issue using Cox Chiropractic traction techniques and the activator instrument to align and mobilize all my joints.  My hip now has more mobility than it has in years, my limp is mostly gone and my knee no longer 'crackles' every time I move it.  He also worked more on my sore shoulder and my neck, giving both more mobility.  The chronic pain/stress in my lower and upper back has been alleviated, although not yet completely gone.  I have now had three appointments and every time Dr. Goldberg improved how I felt.  The third visit he did a combination of both the Atlas and Cox treatments. What has been really nice is during every appointment Dr. Goldberg took the time to explain everything he was doing and why. I feel like a person, not just another patient, when he treats me.

I thought I had a really good chiropractor in my old town...and I did.  She managed my pain and helped things not decline.   I had no idea, however, that these pains could not only be managed but could actually go away.

Thanks to Dr. Goldberg, I feel 10 years younger!

Carol

Dr. Goldberg is an amazing chiropractor and healer.  He has helped me with severe physical pain that would not budge with other treatments and equally assisted me with identifying the underlying causes of debilitating stress.  After I had my second child several years ago, I developed a “frozen shoulder”.  I’d had no physical health issues before that, and I was suddenly in incredible pain and limited in every move I made.  After many visits to an orthopedic doctor, several cortisone injections and months of physical therapy (with limited and temporary relief), I found Dr. Goldberg.  He determined the cause of the shoulder problem (which was actually connected to my neck) and helped me get back to my old self with no shoulder pain.  He did this again for me in the last few months after I had my third child.

Dr. Goldberg has also helped clarify the specific source(s) of stress in my life and given me remedies—through nutritional supplements, homeopathic preparations and behavioral strategies—to change my experience of stress.  I am a psychotherapist and spend much of my time connecting with others and assessing their needs.  My experience of Dr. Goldberg is that he is a healer who can help determine what needs to change to allow our natural state of health to come forward.  He has made a profound difference in my total--mental, spiritual and physical—state of health.  I am deeply grateful to him for making his services available, and it is a gift to have him in our community.

I am 47 years old and have been suffering from a lot of tightness in my lower back for 20 years and severe muscle spasms for the last 4.  Every time my back would spasm I would be out of work three days and on top of that I would have a $600 emergency room bill (after my insurance paid). I also went to my family physician with no results, just medication.

I was recommended to Dr. Goldberg by my father in law and I saw a HUGE difference after my first visit. After two months I feel better than I have in two decades. No more spasms, tightness and a lot more flexibility. He has not only corrected many issues in my back but has also shown me what I could do to prevent problems in the future. Dr. Goldberg has made a tremendous difference in my life and I highly recommend him to anyone suffering from back issues.

I started seeing Dr. Goldberg on June 16, 2009.  That week I was told I needed surgery on my back for a bulging disc pressing on a nerve.  At this point I could barely walk more than five steps or stand any longer than 5-10 minutes.  The pain was really too much to bear anymore and I was willing to do whatever was needed to get some relief.  A client came into my office and spoke so highly of him I had to call.  This was going to be my last stop before I made the appointment for surgery.

He got me in the next day!  He was so thorough. He wanted to know exactly what was going on.  He started with looking at my MRI from the orthopedist then he took his own x-rays.  After looking at all the information he looked at me and said "I can help you."  That was the best thing I had heard in a long time and the best part was I truly believed him.  I could tell he meant what he said and that he really cared.  He told me it wouldn't be overnight but that gradually I would start to feel better, and I did!  Within a few months I was able to stand longer and walk more.  For me it really was a miracle.  To go from not being able to do anything, even the simplest of things like drying my hair in the morning or taking my girls shopping to this was amazing for me.  My husband couldn't believe the difference. He was so impressed he had to make an appointment, and then we started bringing our girls for their own adjustments.

It's now 3 years later and I feel great!  I come in as often as necessary for an adjustment.  Dr. Goldberg and his staff have become a part of our family.  I really can't say enough about them and how wonderful they truly are.

In 1997 I was in a car accident and ever since I have had stiffness and immobility in my neck.  I sought out doctors and even a chiropractor and did not get very much relief.  I could only turn my head a little and when I talked to someone sitting beside me I would turn my whole body to have a conversation.  I also had recurring pain in my lower back.  My sister-in law told me about Dr Goldberg and I was quite amazed, at the first session  I could turn my head for the first time in all those years.  In addition  I could walk without pain in my lower back. The best part is he does not crack one's spine or neck but has equipment that loosens the stiffness and his treatments  are so gentle. He first took x-rays and it turns out that I have a rare arthritis, called "DISH", as well as, my neck bones had been  tilted which prevented me from moving. Using his specialized equipment has helped me so much. I am gardening again and just yesterday I  went to a Botanical Garden in Statesboro and walked for several hours without pain. Just in one months time I am straighter and can reach things I could not get before without standing on a stool.  And the treatments feel good, I actually look forward to my visits because when I leave I feel so energized.  It is hard even for me to believe because I thought my situation was hopeless and I went the first time thinking I might get some relief but I got so much more than I ever expected. I am very grateful that I found Dr  Goldberg and I sincerely hope that others may see this and also find relief.

I have known Dr. Goldberg even before he became a chiropractor in  the 1980's. Even then he supported a healthy lifestyle and was an advocate for natural healing. I admired him for giving up his previous career to pursue his passion.

From the beginning he focused on a total body approach, including improved diet, physical exercise, and nutritional supplementation. His practice offers many natural approaches to help individuals find and maintain their health. Even the office itself evokes peace and tranquility in a unique environment.

Dr. Goldberg's smile and uplifting spirit always sets the stage for evaluation and adjustments. His positive attitude, sincere concern, and intuition always strive to help all his patients. His background and experience makes him and his wonderful staff a true asset to the community.

I had never been to a chiropractor and, having worked most of my adult life in the legal industry, more specifically, insurance defense, I was, to say the least, skeptical. I am now a believer! I was recently in an automobile accident. Dr. Goldberg worked me in the very next day. He took x-rays and indicated that I had small fractures in my vertebra from the wreck. In addition, I had the beginnings of arthritis. I thought as you got older, back pain was something you just lived with. My standards are so much higher now.

I started out with Dr. Goldberg going twice per week. Over time, that has been reduced to once every two weeks and I hope to have completed my treatment in another month or so.

Did I tell you I hate going to the doctor? I dread a doctor's visit from the time I make the appointment to the time I actually make it in to see the doctor. Not with Dr. Goldberg's office. I look forward to my visits to his office. Not only does his staff make me feel welcome, but after a session with Dr. Goldberg, I can actually feel improvement. And I've never slept better!

Dr. Goldberg has made chiropractic therapy a part of my health regimen. I cannot imagine what I did or, for that matter, would still be doing, before he came along. I cannot recommend him more.

In August of 2010 I had been recommended to try Dr. Goldberg since I was still dealing with pain from three months earlier. At that time, I had such spasms in my lower to middle back that left me unable to stand upright, sit or lay down without excruciating pain.  The medical field had released me after an MRI, pain killers, anti inflammatory, steroids and Physical Therapy applications.  Even though I was better, I still had pain.

After X-rays, Dr. Goldberg immediately began correcting my spine to give me relief from the scoliosis and degenerating lower vertebrae.  His techniques are painless with the use of the activator, a hand held instrument for treating my spine, the Cox traction table which he manually operates to stretch and correct my spine. He also has an upper cervical specific machine  that corrects the position of the atlas, the top vertebra with the rest of the neck and spine.  With the use of these tools over time, I am now on maintenance.  I cannot praise Dr. Goldberg enough; with his help I have relief and educated on how to help my chronic condition. Dr. Steve Goldberg treats the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms.

I am 52 years old, and I have suffered with lower back pain from pretty severe scoliosis for most of my adult life. I have always been a believer in chiropractic care but have been surprised at the difference in chiropractic techniques that I have experienced over the years.  Many times it has been very uncomfortable for me to be adjusted.  Draping my arms and legs over my body while the chiropractor leans on me and applies pressure can sometimes be as painful as the back pain.  In addition, the "jerking" motions and cracking sound that occurred during neck adjustments were unnerving to the point that I didn't want my neck adjusted anymore.

A couple months ago I found Dr. Goldberg's card in my acupuncturist's office and asked her about him.  She assured me he was a "soft touch" chiropractor and that I should give him a try.  With his office in Savannah and my home in Richmond Hill, I was reluctant about the commute and the time commitment that would be involved.  I was also without health insurance and didn't have current x-rays of my back so expense was of great concern.

I can't say enough positive things about the care I have received from Dr. Goldberg.  The drive from Richmond Hill immediately became a "non-issue" and I actually looked forward to my chiropractic visits.  The office and the staff are professional, caring and inviting.  Dr. Goldberg's chiropractic techniques are painless and non-invasive with a traction table and instruments that I've never seen in any other office.  The fees were very reasonable and I got instant results which kept the care and the frequency of visits very affordable.

The other thing I must point out about Dr. Goldberg is that he treats the whole patient.  In addition to my scoliosis, I also have what has been referred to as a "non-specific auto-immune disease" which seems to be a result of prolonged stress. After stressful events, I find myself hurting all over from joint pain which also leads to depression, lack of sleep and nutritional deficiencies.  Dr. Goldberg noticed right away when I walked into his office one day and asked what was going on.  He provided supplements, nutritional advice, pressure points, and breathing techniques that got me out of pain and feeling like myself again without any toxic pharmaceuticals or expensive doctor bills.

I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in reducing pain and acquiring a greater sense of balance and well-being to visit Dr. Goldberg.

Debbie

Dear Dr. Goldberg,

I have been wanting to write for the longest time now, to extend the greatest appreciation possible for the help you have given me over these past few months. When I came in for the first time I had been referred by a friend who said you could fix anything. You were my last resort in an effort to save myself from hip replacement surgery, or at least to postpone it for several more years. I couldn't walk, sit or lay down without some sort of pain, even though I had just been through several weeks of physical therapy. I was one of those people you see trying to get into a car by holding onto my leg and lifting it in. I have been thoroughly impressed at the improvements you have brought to my body and the way that I am able to function without pain. I understand how your use of the Cox method of treatment is of great value, and gentle too, but beyond that, way beyond that is the expertise and sensitivity you have achieved in your years of practice. One can tell that you are highly sensitive to the internal conditions of the body, recognizing problems by a mere touch of the spine. It seems that your level of experience has led you to be able to sense changes in the human body as well as the greatest of violinists tuning his instrument. I am impressed at your knowledge of the spine and its role in the well being of the whole body, as well as your understanding of bio chemistry and the nutritional components that can affect healing.

It is always a pleasure to come to my appointments and experience your skill in action, the way you tune right into to every little change, and how you give deep thought to any unusual issues that comes up. I am also grateful for the way you address my questions and explain the mechanics of what you are doing. And finally I am grateful for the education you have given me on how to keep my body in good condition, the exercises and nutritional tips. Most recently you instructed me on how to walk better, with an even stride that allows my arms and body to swing in rhythm. I've been doing that the last couple of days since the appointment and am noticing that it makes a difference in my endurance level. I can't say enough about how skilled you are, and am willing to even say that you are a sort of intuitive genius. I plan to continue coming to you for future adjustments and health giving tune ups for as long as you are in business and as long as I am in Savannah!

A great big, hearty thank you!

Nancy D.
